Ice machine repaired in Lenzburg – Aquain V3 against heavy limescale

Heavily scaled ice machine back in operation:
At a hotel restaurant in Lenzburg, the unit was repaired and then equipped with an Aquain V3 and flow monitor. Around 25 °dH was measured on site – 0 °dH after water softening.
I was on site to inspect and repair the unit. After the necessary repair and cleaning, the ice machine could be put back into perfect operation.
Around 25 °dH measured directly on site
For this installation I even measured a water hardness of approximately 25 °dH on site. For an ice machine, such water hardness means a considerable limescale load.
Aquain V3 installed directly in front of the ice machine
So that the machine can be operated with softened water in future, I also installed an Aquain V3 water softening system .
For this application, the Aquain V3 was set to 0 °dH . The check measurement after installation confirmed the desired result:
Before Aquain V3: approx. 25 °dH
After Aquain V3: 0 °dH
In addition, a Aquain flow monitor was installed. This makes it possible to monitor the amount of water used directly and to keep an eye on the time for the next regeneration of the system much more easily.
Clean ice production again
After completion of the work, the ice machine could be put fully back into operation. It now produces beautiful, clear ice cubes again and is at the same time protected from new limescale load from the feed water.
Especially for ice machines in the restaurant and hotel trade, suitable water treatment is important. Limescale can not only cause visible deposits but also increase the maintenance effort on the machine.
Once the ion exchanger is exhausted, the Aquain V3 can simply be regenerated with regeneration salt and then used again. Regular replacement of filter cartridges is therefore not necessary.
A successful combination of repair, water treatment and preventive protection – directly on site in Lenzburg.
