Simply ready to use again

  • 01 · Connect

    Choose the right connection, fit the system between the water supply and the appliance, and rinse as instructed.

  • 02 · Soften water

    The ion exchange resin reduces water hardness. Residual hardness and appliance requirements determine the right setting.

  • 03 · Regenerate

    Keep an eye on capacity and regenerate with regeneration salt as instructed. Guide value: around 40 minutes.

The right water treatment starts with your application. Here you will find answers to the most common questions.

Which model is the right one?

Use water hardness, daily consumption and available space as a guide. V1 to V4 differ mainly in volume and capacity. The calculator above helps with an initial estimate.

Can I use Aquain in a motorhome or on the shower?

Yes. With Aquain you can prepare limescale-free water for filling the caravan or motorhome tank, or connect the system to the shower – for limescale-free shower water and fewer stains on glass and fittings. For the right connection, send us a photo via WhatsApp.

Do I have to replace the cartridge regularly?

The Aquain ion exchange system is regenerated with regeneration salt. You will find the correct amount of salt and each step in the instructions for your model.

Is softened water the same as pure water?

No. Softening reduces calcium and magnesium but does not remove all dissolved substances. For residue-free drying on glass or solar panels, additional demineralisation may be needed.

Does the flow monitor detect water hardness?

The monitor counts the litres that have flowed through and reminds you to regenerate based on the set capacity. It does not measure water hardness. Also check the residual hardness with a suitable test strip.
