What is Aquain?
Aquain is a mobile, regenerable water softener (ion exchanger). The resin binds the hardness minerals calcium and magnesium. When the capacity is reached, the system is regenerated with regeneration salt instead of replacing a cartridge. No electricity is needed for softening.

The following applies to all models: maximum flow rate 800 litres per hour, inlet water temperature 4–35 °C. The residual hardness can be adjusted via the mixer. Prices in CHF.
Connections
- Standard: two garden hose connectors (Gardena quick coupling) with a pre-fitted tap are included.
- Selectable when ordering: 3/8″ connection (e.g. coffee machine) or 3/4″ connection (e.g. ice machine, catering).
- Available separately: double nipple 3/8″, reducing nipple 3/4″ to 3/8″, braided hoses, ball valves, seals and the shower connection set.
Regeneration
Regeneration is carried out with regeneration salt. According to the instructions it takes around 40 minutes, after which the system is flushed. The amount of salt and the steps are given in the instructions for the respective model. The optional Aquain flow monitor (CHF 99.90) counts the litres and warns at the set limit; it does not measure water hardness. You can check the water hardness with the Aquain test strips.
Good to know: softened water is not fully demineralised pure water. For residue-free air-drying on paint, glass or solar panels, additional water treatment may be necessary.
