For drivers, transport companies & fleets

Your truck does a lot.
Give it the right care.

After many kilometres the work remains visible: dirt on the cab, wheels and body. The pressure washer and brush do the cleaning. Aquain softens the water right at the inlet and helps to avoid new limescale deposits on the washed surfaces.

01 / PRESSURE WASHING

Loosen coarse dirt in a targeted way.

Aquain is connected to the water supply upstream of the pressure washer. Softened water is then available for rinsing the cab and body. Adjust the pressure, nozzle and distance to the respective surface and the manufacturer’s specifications.

02 / TELESCOPIC WASHING BRUSH

Clean thoroughly up top as well.

With a suitable water-fed telescopic washing brush you can reach high side panels and hard-to-reach areas of the body from the ground. The brush loosens stuck-on dirt, the softened water helps with rinsing.

Why spots form

Limescale spots on trucks, buses and trailers.

Tap water contains dissolved calcium and magnesium. When the water evaporates after washing on the cab, windows, tarpaulins or body, these hardness minerals remain as white edges and drip marks. This is especially noticeable on dark paint, glass, chrome, aluminium rims and large smooth surfaces such as box bodies, refrigerated semi-trailers or coaches. On a truck with many square metres of surface, drying by hand is hardly practicable.

Fleet, bus and trailer

Whether articulated lorry, van, coach or trailer: the principle is the same. If you rinse with softened water, significantly fewer limescale residues are deposited on the cleaned surfaces.

Wash bay and car wash

Aquain can also be integrated into the supply at your own company wash bay. For fixed installations or larger washing systems we plan the solution together with you instead of recommending a model across the board.

You can find out how hard your water is from your municipality or water supplier, or with the Aquain water hardness test strips. The water hardness determines the choice of model.

For devices with a suitable supply requirement

Up to 800 litres per hour.
Even for demanding cleaning tasks.

All Aquain bottle sizes have a maximum flow rate of 800 litres per hour – around 13.3 litres per minute. The models differ mainly in the amount of water they can soften before the next regeneration.

Water connection→Aquain→Pressure washer

Aquain belongs in the water supply upstream of the pressure washer. The required inlet flow rate and inlet pressure of the cleaner must be available at the device. The actual supply also depends on the connection, hose and pressure loss. For the washing brush, route the softened water directly to the suitable water-fed brush.

Mobile or at a fixed wash bay

Which Aquain suits your use?

What matters is your water hardness, the amount of water per cleaning and the frequency of use. As a rule of thumb: we recommend the compact Aquain V1 only for soft to medium-hard water up to 12 °dH. For harder water and for truck cleaning, V2 or V3 is the right choice. You can find all models compared directly in the Aquain V1–V4 overview.

Mobile & flexible

Aquain V2

12 litres, up to 2’520 litres per regeneration at approx. 11 °dH inlet hardness. For mobile cleaning jobs and smaller water volumes. A practical choice if you want to use Aquain at different water connections.

Mobile with more reserve

Aquain V3

16 litres, up to 3’360 litres per regeneration at approx. 11 °dH inlet hardness. For regular use with higher water demand. More softening capacity than the V2 – with the same maximum flow rate.

Fixed connection or wall mounting?

For a fixed wash bay we coordinate the model, connections and suitable mounting together with you. Send us a photo of the intended connection – this way the right version can be planned specifically.

If it has to be completely residue-free

Softened water or pure water?

A softener exchanges calcium and magnesium for sodium. This prevents limescale spots, but the other dissolved salts remain in the water. If you want to let vehicles or windows dry in the sun without chamois leather, you need largely demineralised pure water. For this there is the pure water reverse osmosis system, a mobile system for windows and vehicles. In practice, both can be combined: softened water for the main wash, pure water for the final rinse.

In daily use

Connect. Clean. Reuse.

Aquain works without electricity: the water pressure from the mains is sufficient. It is connected via quick connectors to the garden hose or the inlet hose of the pressure washer. When the capacity is exhausted, regenerate the resin with regeneration salt and put the bottle back into use instead of replacing a cartridge.

Before cleaning

Connect and flush Aquain according to the instructions. Check the residual hardness and make sure that the pressure washer is adequately supplied with water.

For the next use

Keep an eye on consumption and regenerate with regeneration salt in good time. The possible amount of water depends on the inlet hardness, the model and correct regeneration.

Questions about truck cleaning

Can I use Aquain with any pressure washer?

Aquain is intended for use in the supply line of suitable pressure washers. Check the required water supply and inlet pressure of your device. The maximum Aquain flow rate is 800 l/h; with higher demand or borderline supply, the combination should be checked beforehand.

Does the larger model have more flow?

No. The maximum flow rate is 800 l/h for all models. A larger model offers more softening capacity and therefore, at the same water hardness, more water before the next regeneration.

What does Aquain do for high vehicle surfaces?

A suitable telescopic washing brush provides the reach. Aquain supplies the softened water for it and reduces limescale residues. The achievable height depends on the brush, pole and vehicle.

Will the truck dry completely spot-free with it?

Aquain softens the water but does not remove all dissolved substances. Limescale-free water is therefore not the same as fully demineralised pure water. Depending on the water and surface, other residues may remain when air-drying.

Which model do I need for hard water?

We recommend the V1 only up to 12 °dH. If your water hardness is higher, choose the V2 or V3. The harder the water, the fewer litres can be softened before the next regeneration. If you need a lot of water, we will be happy to advise you personally.

How do I regenerate Aquain after washing vehicles?

With commercially available regeneration salt according to the instructions. Then briefly flush the system and check the residual hardness, for example with test strips. Aquain is then ready for use again.

Are the pressure washer, washing brush and wall bracket included?

This page shows the possible applications. You can find the scope of delivery of the respective Aquain model on the product page. The pressure washer, washing brush and any wall bracket are not automatically part of the system.
