Limescale-free shower water
Limescale in shower water leaves spots on glass and fittings, clogs the shower head and dries out skin and hair. With a regenerable Aquain water softener you shower with soft water – at home, in a motorhome or caravan, without electricity and without professional installation.
How it works
The Aquain bottle is connected between the tap and the hand shower. The ion exchange resin binds calcium and magnesium. Once the capacity is reached, you simply regenerate the resin with regeneration salt – no cartridge changes.
The right models
- Aquain V1 – 8 litres, up to 1’680 litres per regeneration at 20 °fH / approx. 11 °dH. Compact for motorhomes, caravans and occasional showers.
- Aquain V2 – 12 litres, up to 2’520 litres per regeneration at 20 °fH / approx. 11 °dH. For daily family use or longer trips.
Both models soften equally well – the difference lies in the amount of resin and therefore the litres until the next regeneration. Free shipping to Switzerland.
Shower accessories
The Aquain shower connection kit includes a 2.50 m shower hose, a 1.50 m connection hose and two stainless steel double nipples – for connecting the bath tap, Aquain bottle and hand shower. With the water hardness test strips you check inlet and residual hardness, and the flow monitor reminds you of the next regeneration.
Frequently asked questions
Which model do I need for the shower?
That depends on water consumption and water hardness. For motorhomes and caravans the V1 is often enough; for daily family showers we recommend the V2. Harder water reduces the litres until regeneration.
How often do I need to regenerate?
As soon as the capacity is reached. According to the instructions, regeneration with salt takes around 40 minutes, after which the system is rinsed.
Do I need electricity or an installer?
No. Softening works without electricity, and the connection is made with hoses to the existing tap.

Is softened water demineralised pure water?
No. Only the hardness minerals are removed; other dissolved substances remain.
